heART for Africa parties exist to raise awareness of the work of eXile international with former child soldiers and war-affected children in Central and Eastern Africa. By hosting a heART for Africa party, you can engage your current community (whether that be friends, family, fellow church members, co-workers or neighbors) in helping us fight against the wars in Central and Eastern Africa. By inviting everyone you know, you are increasing your community's awareness of the 24-year-old war that has been brutally making children as young as three into soldiers.

heART for Africa parties can be as small or large as the host desires, but hosts typically invite around 30-50 people. The parties typically include a silent auction, where guests can bid for pieces donated by local artists. We also set up tables to sell our Harambee Beads, handmade out of recycled paper by women and children who have survived war, and other eXile merchandise, such as our Believe t-shirts. Specific details of the party are up to the discretion of the host. If you are local, eXile international will assign a group of interns and volunteers to help you plan, coordinate, and run your heART for Africa party.
