"The works of art are made by children living at the Village of Hope Uganda orphanage. They roll each bead by hand from recycled paper they've cut themselves. The beads are then hand-dipped in varnish and allowed to dry 3 times to seal the beads and give them a beautiful shine. From start to finish it takes around a month to create each of these unique art pieces. The orphans, ages 12 to 18, making these beads receive food, education and medical care as a way of providing for themselves and their siblings. Half of the money raised from bead sales supports this orphanage and half supports the work of eXile.

The long necklaces vary in length from 42" to 52" long. The short necklaces are approximately 18" long. The long necklaces can also be worn as bracelets, double stranded necklaces, or three stranded chokers."
