Advocacy is a large part of our work. To change the course of war, we must stop the bleeding and mend the wounds caused by the violence. Stopping the bleeding involves using our voices to encourage justice. Mending the wounds involves trauma work to those children traumatized by war and teaching peace building skills at young ages.
We not only believe in helping war-affected children heal from their wounds of trauma, but also in advocating for them to bring the violence that caused the trauma to an end. We do this by teaming with other organizations in Washington DC and around the world who play an integral part in bringing consequences to crimes against humanity. We speak at press conferences, set up meetings with local leaders, display the children's drawings of war, and tell the their stories to ambassadors, members of congress, and change agents around the world.
eXile international's Advocacy Campaign is currently teaming with RESOLVE in Washington DC to encourage follow through of the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recover Act.
